Christopher Gavigan
Christopher Gavigan is the CEO and Executive Director of Healthy Child Healthy World, an innovative nonprofit organization focused on environmental health and sustainable, nontoxic consumer products. In the process of building this organization, he has designed strategic partnerships with Google, WebMD, Target, Seventh Generation, Microsoft, Babycenter, Universal Studios, Whole Foods, and many other market leaders in the area of formulation compliance and consumer marketing.
Christopher sits on the Board of Directors of Mount Sinai Hospital’s Children Environmental Health Center, the Advisory Board of UCLA Environmental Health Sciences Department, and is Chief Advisor for the Green Product Innovation Institute. Christopher is the best-selling author of Healthy Child Healthy World – Creating a Cleaner, Greener, Safer Home, and has published articles in the New York Times, Huffington Post, People, Discovery, USA Today, and has been interviewed on radio (Oprah and National Public Radio) and appeared on CNN and “Good Morning America.” In his book, he includes over 40 notable contributions from leading doctors, activists, and celebrities, including Dr. Philip Landrigan, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, First Lady Michelle Obama, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sheryl Crow, Dr. Alan Greene, and Dr. Harvey Karp.
Raised in New York and Connecticut, Christopher graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a double major in Environmental Science and Business, and did postgraduate work in Psychology at UCLA.
